We see a disturbing trend in today’s church. More and more people are leaving discussion about the gospel out of their daily conversations. As a result, Christians struggle to relate to the world and they fail to develop a biblical worldview that is essential to understanding how we live in that context.
Bound to Christ (B2C) evolved from discussion in order to encourage and stimulate similar discussion among other Christians. Our three main goals are to:
- Stimulate discussion about theology and culture.
- Spark serious study of scripture among Christians.
- Provide resources that encourage Christians to build a biblical worldview.
In 1 Corinthians 13:12, Paul explains human understanding of knowledge in the temporal and in eternity. He writes that “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.” At B2C we strive to know God and His precepts through discussion and studying of scripture. We know that He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, and that is why we encourage our readers to study scripture. But even with this we know that we will not understand everything fully until we see Him face to face. Thus, living with finite minds, we are prone to understand minor doctrines differently. However, we at B2C trust in the gospel, as the Bible describes it in 1 Corinthians 2:2:
“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
Like Paul we desire to encourage Christocentric thought. We hold this truth to be self evident, that all are in need of a savior, and Jesus Christ is that savior. He is the one and only propitiation for the sins of mankind. This truth is of first importance and because of that the gospel must be the center of everything. It shall be the center of everything we do at B2C.
